This month, we’re happy to introduce you to Linda Mora from the NGO National Down Syndrome Congress (Roswell, Georgia, United States). For more information, have a read of our interview with her. The NGO needs us again for a series of new articles to be translated from English into Spanish. Keep an eye on their website, you’ll be able to read them soon!
What else? What’s new? It has been quite busy for the past two weeks so we’re going to keep you updated today on what has been happening 🙂
First of all, various big projects are now completed and we would like to thank all of our volunteers for their hard work.
A new project with the International Forum of National NGO Platforms from French and English into Portuguese was successfully managed by: Helaíne Haddad Simões Machado, Andrea Marcondes, and Rodrigo Bostelmann de Oliveira. Thanks a lot to them!
All the Italian and German translations are now completed for another project that we’ve already told you about, where we translated 9,580 for Task Forces on Systemic Pesticides, it was a big effort! This project had been going on for a long time but we managed not to get lost with all the different languages and so we’d like to thank the last team of volunteers: Ilaria Ghezzi, Wanda Spahn, Anke Reckermann, Tanja Betz, Monica Wagner, and for the proofreading: Verena Müller. You can also find the names of the other volunteers in the previous article.
The first part of our huge project with Union Francophone pour les Cannabinoïdes en Médecines has also been translated from English into French, and we are looking forward to continuing our collaboration in the next few weeks. The first 14,000 words were translated by Charlotte Pénard, Paul Lemaistre, Aurélie Schalkwijk, and Henri Richard Rasoanaivo. Proofreading by: Pauline Junca.
The Fundación Soñar Despierto asked us to translate a document from Spanish into English for one of their new projects. 1,892 words translated by Julia Vasta and proofread by: Christina Cordaroy.
We do have new promising projects with the Research Institute for Waldorf Education which has been working with us for a few years now. They need us to translate a book with just under 50,000 words from English into Spanish, “Work in progress”, as well as an article with almost 10,000 words.
We also have a new project with the NGO Missionszentrum Port-Berger, Madagaskar (Hope e.V.), which has asked us to translate one document from German into English.
And finally, the NGO On Purpose, which has already worked with us on another project, requests a translation of documents from English into German, with a total of more than 20,000 words! We would also like to thank the NGO for being able to offer a small economic compensation to the translator.
See you soon!
